iHerz Aerosol Device
What is a nebulizer and how does it work?
The compressor nebulizer is a device that transforms a medicinal substance from liquid form into aerosols under the action of compressed air. The nebulizer directs the aerosol, which contains large and small particles, into the respiratory tract. Following the action of the gravitational force, large particles are deposited on the walls of the upper respiratory tract, and small particles manage to reach the bronchioles. Thus, the medicinal substance reaches the highest doses in all sections of the bronchial tree, including the smallest bronchi, having insignificant or zero adverse reactions.
When can nebulization therapy be applied?
Nebulizers are used in case of:
acute respiratory diseases,
obstructive pulmonary disease,
chronic inflammatory processes of the respiratory tract, such as chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma (including chronic and unstable cases, as well as exacerbation of bronchial asthma), chronic pharyngitis,
respiratory tract infections, dysregulation of the quality of secretions and secretion in the bronchi, various types of cough.
Advantages of nebulization therapy:
Inhalation therapy causes large doses of medicinal preparation to act quickly on the focus of the disease, which increases the effectiveness of the treatment followed and reduces the risk of developing adverse effects on other organs. Inhalation therapy also ensures the economical consumption of the medicinal substance. Treatment with aerosols using the nebulizer can be followed by children, the elderly and weak patients.
